we are what we are - so let us be blessed

to have seen and not been part of - must be such an awkward feeling to be
an awakening that can never be undone - you have passed through it yet
not been of it. never had the luxury of hunger, or bugs or worms that pass
through your system, of water murky taste so good. of not knowing warmth
was only a nobs turn away. or sleeping alone could ever be done. that in dug
up rubbish, bottle tops become wheels, boxes homes, papers warmth. it is

what it is

you having never experience such deprivation. can never know the joys that
come it - one find and your day complete. outside squatting like a dog - one
can never forget. and the food - even the bad food was so good. so very good

see it all as a blessing. every bit. the grime, the foul cab rides, the flat tire on
your car. the overpriced electric bill and cell phone that fell one too many times
it is all joy. wasteful, sinful, undeserving joy.
