for a poet

as my tools:
i arrange
rearrange
add subtract
here and there a punctuation mark
and space
i need better tools to gauge
my existence:
to not stay in
the past to recount
the wrongs, the pain,
the hoopla we created
and God
have we created
every spectrum
of emotion
every spectrum
of energy as we seek our balance
