Almost let her in - but the moment stopped
The time in her car as I kissed her lips - I almost
Let her in - still I couldn't and she asked me never
To again. So much time - so many moments: how
Can 20 plus years go so fast in a friendship and
Her not even know who she had at her side - I am
Saddened at the events that transpired to get me to
The point where I can let a long time friend in - I am
Saddened and thankful cuz I've wasted so much time
