flows and some is taken up
into the sky: while other is
used to clean and drink: these
five precepts* - this moral code
is hard for us to follow: still it
is beauty to
sit: listen
even more
when we can
sleep and hear
how the very
water lifted into the sky falls
*Five Precepts: 1. not to take the life of anything living, 2. not to take anything not freely given, 3. to abstain from sexual misconduct and sensual overindulgence, 4. to refrain from untrue speech, 5. and to avoid intoxication, that is, losing mindfulness.
