i'm postponing the payment of taxes
why - i'm not sure perhaps because
i do not want to part with the sum
perhaps i do not want to believe
that this is the first year i am truly alone
it is a long time in coming this
filing away of hope - no dependents
no property - no home - all given for freedom
and what i fear is not the pain
it is the exultation
of the possibilities
in my life
