i viewed them
once in passing
thought of their
beauty and then
threw up - it was a
cold night, he held my hair
the clothes borrowed
i had sneaked out
of the barracks to
be with him: the too tall lanky man that
made me laugh - he took some snow
and cleaned me: promised to teach
me how to drink so no man would
ever have to hold my hair: he held
me close to keep me warm - i was
so cold: he pointed out each star
he knew nothing about - i laughed
and laughed for what did their position
matter - as long as he was beside me
